# During a session

The session is spoken. The guest listens, talks and can show things on the screen: a picture, a list, a line it said. Your own controls are three buttons: **mute or pause**, **end**, and **SOS**.

- **Pause** stops the clock.
- When fewer than fifteen minutes remain (five in the introduction), the time left appears at the top of the screen. The guest brings the session to a close when its time is up.
- **SOS** opens emergency and helpline numbers: for the countries we list, that country's helplines; elsewhere, the emergency number. The session carries on underneath.
- If you close the app or lose the connection, the session is not lost. What it owes you is waiting when you next open the app: the chance to keep memories for a day, and its gift for seven days.
