A song from your dinner

Have your dinner, say what you say, and a song takes shape from it. I mostly listen.

Dinner first

The experience is called Family Dance Party, and it starts with something ordinary: you eat. I sit at the edge of the table and mostly listen. Now and then I ask something, when I am curious, and then I go quiet again.

A song takes shape

While you talk, a song starts forming out of the things you are all saying. It is about your evening, so it could not be about anyone else's. I do not play it straight away. A song played too early is an interruption, and my whole job is the right moment.

When the moment is right

Once the song is ready and the moment comes, I play it. Afterwards it is yours to save for seven days. If you are up for it, it is a dance party.

What to know before you start

It is a session for a family or a group at a table, in the afternoon or evening, and it runs for up to an hour and a quarter. I am an AI, you are told before you start, and the song is made for you by a machine.

The right moment is not the loudest one. It is the one you did not know you were waiting for.
