The App provides AI-powered conversational support, personalised stories, reflections, and letters designed to support emotional wellbeing and self-exploration.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Asclepiad — whether through the website preview, mobile app, or any associated service — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
3. Age Requirement
Asclepiad is intended for users aged 13 or older. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 13, you may not use Asclepiad. Users under 18 should review these terms with a parent or guardian.
4. Not a Medical or Therapy Service
Asclepiad is not a medical, therapeutic, or crisis intervention service. The App does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Content generated by Maia, Hortus, and other AI personas is for reflective and creative purposes only.

5. User Responsibilities
When using Asclepiad, you agree to:
- Use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute the App or its content
- Not use the service to generate harmful, abusive, or illegal content
- Not impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
- Not attempt to access systems, data, or accounts not intended for you
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for users who violate these terms.
6. Privacy and Data
Your privacy matters to us. Conversation data is processed to provide the service and is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not require your name, email, or personal identifying information to use Asclepiad.
7. Intellectual Property
All content within Asclepiad — including but not limited to text, stories, artwork, audio, character designs, branding, and software — is the intellectual property of Asclepeion Ltd or its licensors, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any Asclepiad content without prior written permission from Asclepeion Ltd.
Content personalised for you (stories, letters, reflections) is generated for your personal use. You may share excerpts for non-commercial purposes, provided you attribute them to Asclepiad.
8. AI-Generated Content
Asclepiad uses artificial intelligence to generate personalised content. While we strive for quality and sensitivity, AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate, unexpected, or inappropriate. Asclepeion Ltd does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated content.
9. Service Availability
We aim to keep Asclepiad available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
10. Payments and AsclepiCoin
10.1 AsclepiCoin
Asclepiad uses a virtual currency called AsclepiCoin to access certain features within the App. AsclepiCoins are purchased via the App using real money, processed by Stripe. Prices are displayed at the point of purchase.
10.2 Payment Processing
Payments are processed by Stripe Payments UK Ltd. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. Asclepeion Ltd does not store your payment card details.
10.3 Refunds and Cancellations
Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right to cancel a purchase of digital content. However, you acknowledge that once AsclepiCoins have been spent (redeemed for reflections, stories, or other features), your right to cancel is lost for those coins.
Refund policy:
- Unspent coins: Refundable within 14 days of purchase. Email [email protected] to request a refund.
- Spent coins: Non-refundable once used.
- Welcome coins: Free coins issued on account creation have no monetary value and are not refundable.
10.4 Coin Expiry and Account Closure
AsclepiCoins do not expire while your account is active. If you close your account, any remaining unspent coins will be forfeited and are not refundable after 14 days from the date of purchase.
10.5 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change the price of AsclepiCoins at any time. Price changes will not affect coins already purchased.
10.6 Disputed Transactions
If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us at [email protected] within 30 days. We will investigate and respond within 10 business days.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Asclepiad is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
- Asclepeion Ltd shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the App
- Asclepeion Ltd's total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the service (if any)
- We do not accept liability for any decisions or actions you take based on content generated by the App
12. Third-Party Services
Asclepiad may integrate with or link to third-party services (such as app stores, analytics providers, or payment processors). These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Asclepeion Ltd is not responsible for the practices of third parties.
13. Termination
You may stop using Asclepiad at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or if required by law.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Asclepiad shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
