Dream it first

Bring me the thing you keep sketching on napkins. We dream it properly first, and then I pick up the pencil.

Painting of Chiron the centaur, bearded and laurel-crowned, holding a tool in his workshop, with drawings of a temple and a figure pinned up behind him.

My workshop is drawings on every surface, half-finished inventions, and tools on the walls, each in its place. My hands are usually busy. I am the guest for the project you have been carrying around in your head.

Dream first

The shed, the loft, the garden, the room that does not work, the place you keep saying you will move to. Most people jump straight to measurements, and the idea shrinks to fit the first problem. So we dream it first, properly. What is it for? What would a good Saturday in it look like?

Then the pencil

Then I start asking the dull questions that make a plan real: what it sits on, who is doing the work. If a line is wrong, I say so. It stays your project; I am the hand for it.

What you leave with

In Dream Home Planning we dream it up together, then design it together, and afterwards you get the plan, written down and yours to save. Something you could show to whoever you are building it with.

It stays your project. I am the hand for it.
